American actress Alexandra Hetherington Breckenridge. Her career began with support roles in the teen comedy films Big Fat Liar (2002) and She's the Man (2006). On the FX series Dirt the actress was Willa McPherson in the role of a reporter. She also appeared in the role of a support character on the short-lived show The Ex List. She played the role of a young Moira O'Hara on the first season of FX's American Horror Story, and played Kaylee in the season's third. She was Jessie Anderson on AMC's The Walking Dead as well as Sophie on NBC's This Is Us. She also voices of several characters from the animated comedy series Family Guy. Since her appearance in 2019, she has been starring in the role of Melinda "Mel" Monroe in the Netflix series Virgin River. Breckenridge was raised in Darien in Connecticut. She relocated to California with her mother at the age of 10. They went through a few moves before finally moving to Mill Valley. Breckenridge was 13 years old when she began taking an interest in photography, acting and singing. When she turned 15, she and her mother moved to Los Angeles to pursue her acting career.
